Renovation Time

It's been a few weeks since I last posted, I have got one very good reason... we now have the largest renovation job to do, along with over an acre of land to tend. Just when I thought having two kids under three, a stressful job, not shopping at the supermarket and a husband who works away was busy enough, we have taken on this. It's very exciting, and tiring. I may never sleep-in ever.

So please let me show you some highlights!

Here I am looking at the house, from this angle the roof looks pretty smart.  This is our new front garden, complete with apple, apricot, plum and peach tree. Yum :) So that is the good side, the rest is a work in progress. I will share some photos of the inside.

Talk about value- two layers of carpet. Nothing says quality like carpet being layed on other carpet.

I am not sure, but if the world's ugliest curtain competition comes to town, we might have a winner. Not only does the pattern hurt the eye, but they don't fit the window and transparent.

A secret door, you may think you are looking at a sauna, or possibly a Swedish restaurant, but no that's our new dinning room. Also no that's not a light switch on the wall, that's the socket- very useful and visually appealing.

Some very coral coloured wardrobes, mmmm fishy pink. This is how I imagine this happened- you are at the paint shop and think what colour would I like my wardrobe to be? Wait that pinky salmon is 90 percent off, that will do. Any other reasons don't seem to be plausible.

So there it is, a small sample of jobs that I should be getting on with.
